The day Cibona Zagreb reached the top of European Basketball.

3 April 2020 by Zoran Filicic

A.D. 1985, Cibona Zagreb won the European Champions Cup (now called Euroleague), second Yugoslavian basketball team behind Bosna Sarajevo and first Croatian Team to achieve the title.

It was exactly 35 years ago, on April the 3rd, that Cibosi, the Wolves leaded by Drazen Petrovic, defeated Martin’s Real Madrid after winning the Yugoslavian Nation Cup and, finally, the National Championship.

One year later the Cibona Storm, after his second consecutive European Title, played against K.K. Zadar the most incredible and dramatic basketball final ever.
